For more than 50 years Jim has been capturing the beauty of his surroundings in unique Mendocino County, California. The rugged mountains, redwood forest, vineyards, beautiful Northern  California coast, and inland valleys provide endless inspiration for Jim to capture in oil, acrylic, and pastel.

Many of the  paintings you may preview are on display at the Jim Colling Gallery 1170 Sanford Ranch Road Ukiah, California.   Most of the selections can be purchased as originals, prints, glicees, and greeting cards.

Commissions are welcomed, it is the ideal way to enjoy that special scene and feeling you have always wanted. Costs vary based on size, subject, and complexity but satisfaction is guaranteed!  Prices on original pieces range from $100 for a pastel plein aire painting to $2000 for an elaborate harborscape.
